The BIG study has won several national and international awards already from the first commissions; among the noteworthy works there are: 8Tallen a residential building that is characterized by the green roof that rises from the ground level; the World Women's Sports Village in Malmö, Sweden and the Swedish Pavilion in China, for Expo 2010. In 2010 BIG opened a branch in New York, a city where they had obtained a commission for a famous skyscraper.
